Mari Calai

Born and raised in Romania, and for the later part of her life living abroad from Italy, to the United States and South Korea, Mari has been traveling the world exploring different cultures, and that is what inspires her the most.

She studied photography at The New York Institute of Photography, and she is an international award-winning photographer and an avid painter with her most recent exhibitions in Seoul, S. Korea and Washington D.C. area.

As a mixed media artist, her work is sublime and marked by a nostalgic realism. Mari’s works are held in private collections in Italy, Romania, Norway, Germany, S. Korea, and United States.
